In collaboration with the plastics industry, Cleanbuild developed the FI-RE panel: a plastic panel with fire-retardant specifications. The PVC material of the FI-RE panels comprises a unique mix of fire-retardant raw materials. The ‘Fire Retardant’ Cleanbuild panels are the first plastic panels on the market to be approved in Fire class B (fire class B-S3-D0).

Building with plastic panels offers countless advantages. It is cost-effective, fast, hygienic and low maintenance. A disadvantage of plastic is that it is more sensitive to fire than, for example, masonry. That’s why, In collaboration with the plastics industry, we developed our Fire Retardant (FI-RE) panel. These panels are manufactured in the same moulds as the Cleanpanel panel, but with a different material. The PVC of the FI-RE panels is a unique recipe of fire-resistant raw materials. This mix results in a fire-retardant material, that has given the panels an outstanding Fire Class B (fire class B-S3-D0).
